DREAM.6 Fight Card Update: Cro Cop/Overeem Official, Kharitonov Returns and More
 

Earlier today FEG revealed 3 new match ups for the DREAM.6 event scheduled for 9/23. The rumored bout between Mirko Cro Cop and Alistair Overeem was finally made official. In another bout, we'll see Sergei Kharitonov return to action to face K-1 vet Mighty Mo. Also added to the card, Yoon Dong Sik will take on karate champ Andrews Nakahara.

Sergei/Mighty Mo should be a treat to watch. So far, a very solid card for DREAM. You figure at least 3 solid fights w/ the MWGP (hopefully no one gets hurt like the LWGP), plus CroCop and Sergi fighting. I'm sure they'll have a MW replacement fight as well. With Yoon already fighting someone else, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Mayhem/Sakuraba fight added as the replacement fight. :D

wow, thats by far the best card dream has put together thus far, very nice. sergei/mighty mo...that's the kind of fight i like to see. between that, seeing if crop-cop is back for real, and the mw gp, quite the show.

I hear Yoon vs. Nakahara is indeed the MWGP reserve fight. That being said, I would love to see something like Mayhem vs. Akiyama added to the card, it really could use one more fight to appeal to the casual Japanese fans

So Kharitonov vs Mo happened eventually, I think it was rumored a while back but later canceled.

If Nakahara gets into the GP finals after getting choked out by Sakuraba in the 1st round, I'll be pissed. I guess Punk Minowa was too busy fighting 400# sumo wrestlers or something to take this fight. :lmfao:

I figured they'd try to work Sakuraba back in (provided the poor bastard isn't eating all of his foods in liquid state) since Sakuraba = rating in Japan and that's the thing DREAM needs the most right now.

I'm stoked about this. Hope to see CC and Sergei return to form.

And oh yeah, Mousasi's taking this GP.

You are right about Yoon/Nakahara being a reserve fight. I forgot to post that originally. Kind of a crappy reserve fight. Should be an easy sub win for Yoon. I would have preferred to see Donger vs. Mayhem or something.

I read a rumor somewhere that they offered Baroni a fight with Sakurai for this card, but I don't know how true that is.

mmaplayground.com still has sakurai vs diaz on it's page. anyone hear if this is still a go? i heard they have some no name for diaz in elitexc so he might not be able to have this match.
