Bigman1012 is on a distinguished road

Default Pride pay per views

I have only been an MMA for about five months. I have watched the last six UFC ppvs. I was a bit disappointed with some of the main events, but for the main part was happy. What I was wondering was if the Pride pay per views are exciting to watch. I am still thinking about ordering the event tonight. thanks.

personally, I dont like the ring (Pride uses a ring for their fights). But it looks like a decent card tonight and I might watch it (or just download it after, still thinking about it).

Generally the Pride shows are rather exciting. This PPV has quite a few mismatches on it so some of the fights are gonna be beatdowns but overall it shouldn't be too bad of a card.

Here's a breakdown of the card. It might give you a better idea of the fights going on:

In general, Pride events are much better. This one will be an exception, since Pride is using this opportunity to introduce their star fighters for the most part. In any case, they have few match ups that would make it into UFCs main and co-main events and rest of card are a bit of mismatches as already mentioned. In any case, you will get to see some world class MMA fighters against decent opponents.

People don't like the ring because they're just not used to it but you will get used to seeing MMA fights in a ring and you will take it for what it is. It has never hinder me or anyone of my friends after watching it couple of times.

Pride fighters are much more well-rounded than the UFC fighters and make things much more interesting.

If you have the extra cash and have nothing else to do I say go ahead and order it. However, like it's already been mentioned there are some big mismatches on the card. So if your on a budget then just hang onto you money and wait for the next Pride ppv which should have a much better card.

I'm use to the ring and I still hate it.
