Your statement is wrong, and not because you misspelled "Sylvia". The UFC offered him that fight, he was retired, and he didn't have 2 knockout victories over him. It was a fight that actually had some intrigue, it was the equivalent of Chuck taking a fight against Nog, and nog is actually closer to Chucks natural size than Randy and Tim

Either way you try to slice it Randy Couture (at the time) was no more deserving of a title fight then as Chuck is now especially coming off of a KO loss. They threw him in for the buys. Same as Lesner vs Couture. I think Couture vs Liddell @ HW for a title is intriguing

Randy was 2X HW champ and there were no clear cut challengers at the time. I think he had a little more credibility to fight for the title than a "FORMER" LHW champ. I'm not a fan of either, I'm not nuthugging or bashing just being subjective.

The UFC is a business. It will always be ran as a business. It's not a matter of deserving or not deserving a title shot but who can fill the most seat and sell the most PPV's. The bottom line is what counts in Dana eyes.

He had just got Ko'ed by that "former" LHW champion though...but I understand what your saying but the point I was trying to get across was about the same as flagstar12's, at this point in time in the UFC it's not about who's the most deserving it's about who puts butt's in the seats and I think Liddell vs Couture for the HW title would although Liddell doesn't deserve it at all.
