Put Chuck liddell,matt hughes,Tim silvia,GSP on a ufc card and the pay would be more than prides last card with some of their top fighters present.

UFC's payscale for the fighters are released, and everyone cries rape saying that the fighters are underpaid.

Pride's payscale for the fighters are released, and everyone cries fake, saying that there is no way they can be real.


Double negative?

They both under-pay. It's as simple as that.

MMA fighters will NEVER see the money that a boxer sees for the simple fact that a boxing card will house about 6 fighters and much, MUCH less in costs for putting on a show(pyrotechnics, etc.).

And that's a shame.

I don't see why everyone cares about what fighters make anyway.It's like off the movie 'a bronx tale' Fedor makes 100,000 for one night of work ,when you can't make enough money to pay the rent go talk to Fedor and see what he tells you.He doesn't care about you why should you care about him?People should focus more on the fighting aspect and let the fighters worry about what they're getting paid.

I disagree, here you go and make a great point and then nullify it with this. We should care for how they get payed, it keeps them fighting because they have to get payed or else they can't make a living out of it. What about those of us which are pursuing a future in the sport? I really hope that the pay starts to increase at least 50% or more within the next year with all of the exposure the sport has gotten.

If you're pursuing a carear in mma I wish you the best of luck ,but you should worry about what you get paid not someone else.I know that I wouldn't want everyone knowing what I make and everyone talking about it etc. I like my privacy and I'm sure so do a lot of the fighters.I'm not trying to be a smartass or disrespectful and I'm just sayin....
