rogan should just stay off ufc. he is not a good commentator, he sucks. randy is an awesome commentator, or ufc should get th fight proffessor "quadros". rogan is redundant and does not know what hes talking about most of the times. randy is more technical like trigg and renallo. tank is awesome too, he's funny as hell.

Rogan does not know what he's talking about??????
Rogan is perfect for the UFC. He knows that game & can project an enthusiasm that is often needed in some fights.
It's easy to say Rogan or Goldberg are shite commentators, but IMO they're the bet the UFC have ever had. Although I didn't mind Blatnick in the ealry days either. Mauro (the Pride guy) does my head in with the way he talks, but again he does a good job well.

Rogan is good for commentary. He tells it from an "avid fan" perspective.
Mike Blatnick was the owner or president of the UFC for a while. Blatnick was the reason the UFC almost went belly up and from my point of view, got boring for a while. He always tried to promote the wrestler and that style because he was an ex-wrestler. Not that some of those fighters weren't good but still that was horse s***. The kung fu guy was Don "The Dragon" Wilson. I would lmao when Tank would call him Don "the dragonfly" Wilson. You could tell Wilson would get pissed. Absolutely hilarious. But thank God both of those idiots are gone.

I always enjoy Joe Rogans commentary. For one it's a celebrity. For two it's a celebrity who knows the sport as well as any "expert" or "insider" out there. For three he actually trains with all of the best fighters from time to time, even sporting black eyes on the job. For four, someone already said it - he's awesome at injecting a shot of excitement into any fight he's calling. And five, someone also pointed it out - it's a gigantic step above the days of wrestler-mark Blatnik and monotone - Osbourne.
If we're going to complain about anyone on the UFC broadcast team, I'd say point the finger at Mike Goldberg. He's fake as hell for one, just straight out phony. But no more than your typical straight announcer. Still, I hate those kind. Stephen Quadros and the late Ryan Bennett are more my style. They keep things together like a host should, but they don't get phony about it like Mike Goldberg or good god like Mauro Renallo. Bas Rutten is good for what he does, but without a good host keeping things in order he'd just be a guy making whacky comments, Al Pacino voice impressions, and of course an educated explanation of the action going on in the ring. But yeah the perfect team will always be Quadros and Rutten. No duo will ever touch the chemistry or flow they had for each and every show I've heard them call.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't stand Quadros. I think he's boring and lifeless....
Goldberg and Rogan, IMO, are head and shoulders above everyone else. |

Yeah, it's just you. Quadros is the best play-by-play commentator in the biz.

Joe Rogan is pretty good....I think he benefits the overall production. I like him because he is a fan just like the rest of us.

yes quadros is the best.
i think if as long as they keep randy on the team it will work out for the best because hes the more mellow guy but he has a vast knowledge of the game and so him and rogan together works out good. rogan by himself gets annoying the color guy is supposed to interject with interesting comentary in breaks from the pbp. rogan says way to much stupid shit. randy would interject with good points and keep it moving like bas does. a little comedy is good but rogan is just way to over the top. the only thing i do like about rogan is his interviews i think he does them well.
i dont understand all the hating on rennallo he not that bad actually pretty good IMO. i think the reason people hate is because hes not quadros but no one is.
on another note now that quadros is doing IFL does anyone know were the other commentator came form the buddy rice or whatever his name is guy? that guys a beauty.

I don't like quadros either. he reminds me the guy on showbox withthe big teeth that look like they would light up a dark room. I can't stand him. Quadros is only good with someone like a Bas that can liven it up keep it interesting while he drones on in that monotone voice. Rogan is pretty good primarily because he is a fan and gets excited like we do when there is good action in the octagon.
Anybody is better than Jim brown from the ufc's 1 and 2. I mean come on a running back doing play by play for mma. Give me a freakin break. He was terrible.
