Joe Rogan not working UFC 61 Joe Rogan won't be doing commentary at UFC 61 due to a prior commitment with Comedy Central. Instead it will just be Mike Goldberg and Randy Couture. Joe Rogan hasn't quit or anything, he'll still be doing the two Spike TV specials this month and future PPVs aside from 61. |
too be honest, i dont like Joe Rogan commentating...maybe thats just me. |
randy is pretty good on comentary hes prides version of bas but without the comedy because he actually knows the fight game from the inside. i think those two are gonna be much better then rogan and im gonna be pissed when rogan comes back. |
I like Rogan, talks up the fights and adds to the excitement |
Rogan is an excellent colour commentator. I like Couture, but his voice is a little too "boring" for the job. However when the three are there together IMO it's a near perfect balance. Let's just hope the fights give them something to work with. |

Rogan is fine. Go back to the early days and listen to the color commentary from the first couple of UFC events. That really sucked. The announcers didn't have any knowledge of the game, couldn't explain what was happening. It was really awful. Rogan is a solid step above that. |
So, we won't have the pleasure of hearing "he got rocked!" every few minutes. Quote:

Rogan rocks!!!! By far the best colour guy in the sport...IMO:thumbsup: Sure beats the hell out of that kung fu guy they had for a couple in the early days, and that wrestler guy, what's his name....Mike Blatnick????? something like that...he was horrible!!!!!:banghead: The last PPV when Couture was added, I agree it was a near perfect mix.. I also thought Frank Mir did a great job, the one he filled in for Rogan a while back. |
I wonder if they'll have Couture doing post fight interviews too or someone else will do that instead. |
