I think they jsut took the recognized judges for boxing to help gain some credibility with NSAC. Credibility should no longer be an issue with Marc Ratner on board. I think i will post the question for them to ask Dana during the radio interview.

griffin won that fight easily.he definately won the 2nd and 3rd.Eddie bravo's the only one who scored that fight right.one judge scored the fight 30-27 ortiz. How the hell you get 30-27 from that fight baffles me.

some (if not all) of the judges for the ufc fights have mma knowledge. i mean, cecil peeples has even reffed in the ufc, so he knows the ropes (or cage, i suppose). because judging mma/boxing is such a subjective thing, you always get questionable rulings every once in a while (and occasionally ones that are out and out wrong on every level). it's just the nature of the beast.

I dunno, I agree with both decisions....I actually gave Tito a 10-8 first round.
Obviously Griffin the second, and I gave Tito a VERY slight edge in the third.

I agree, 30-27 is a joke.....but I'd still give Tito the decision

I agree with Killer about the 30-27 thing, but I don't think Griffin won the fight easily. It was a close fight that could have gone either way.

I gotta say I too thought Griffin won the fight, but if you let it go to the judges it becomes subjective. I also agree they had the big build up for Ortiz-Shamrock II so maybe that was a contributing factor?

Bottom line KO or submission leaves no questions.

We've probably just answered the question on this thread. Approx 50% gave it to Griffin & 50% gave it to Ortiz.

So if we were all judging the fight the result would have probably stayed the same.

I take on your point that 10/8 was too far. They should just award rounds, ie Tito won 2/1 etc.

Ya I agree the fight coulda gone either, I just saw it in Forrest favor as far as the fights concerned, and Titos favor as far as promotion is concerned.. either way the fight should not of been that close considering Forrest is a TUF fighter and Tito is a former champ who plans on being champ again, I know I should be giving Forrest more credit but I Dont believe hes ready for anyone thats a viable contender for the belt or anyone holding the belt just yet.. so that says a lot about Tito and where he stands right now IMO
