Couture, Ortiz, Hendo, all took him to the ground and beat him on the ground. Whereas on his feet, he is one of the most lethal strikers to ever fight in MMA.

i think he's still in school, dont know, but he was going for a doctorate, so obviously that consumes your time, and may reflect on why he never competed at the same level after losing the belt.
Vitor and Lee Murray. things have happened in Vitor's life that have changed him. he loses heart and gasses, never really keeps his focus.
lee murray turned out to be just a waste of potential. got stabbed, could have been something, could have made great money in the UFC, but had no patience, no honest care for the sport, he just wanted money.
he might still be free in morocco, but he'll never be the same fighter again, if he does fight, it wont be for the money he could have had, not for the fame that he could have had, and not at the level that he could have had

| The smashing machine
If anyone has ever seen the documentary "The Smashing Machine" they understand why I say Mark Kerr if #1 in this category. He was very good but personal battles with drugs and personal distractions made him lose focus. If he could have kept training with Bas Rutten and improving his striking and submission game I think he would have been as dominate as Fedor is today. He is fighting in November against Mike Whitehead in an IFL event, I hope he's got his head screwed on straight and can make a swift comeback. Kerr in the UFC would be amazing!!!
WAR KERR

exactly, kerr is one of my fav. fighters
its hard to understand just by looking at the guy and knowing about his wrestling abilities why he has not been very successful...but then you watch the film and see his bitch girlfriend and how he just got sucked the wrong direction

The problem is the organizations dont always give the big fights to the most talented or deserving fighters. Mike Swick has earned his title shot. Now we hear rumors of the UFC trying to bring in Lindland. How about Karo pulling out of a title fight due to injury, then having to start at the bottom again. He should have had a title fight as soon as he was healthy, like GSP did.

Lindland deserves a f*cking shot though! he deserved it for so long...so i say them bringing him in is the right thing to do. and if he beats Silva, that would be nothing but vindication for Lindland.
and yes the Karo title shot situation sucks...but he's prolly not one of Dana's boys like GSP is...LOL
