i do not think Fisher should be fighting Sherk for a little while.
not until people forget that he was getting manhandled on the ground by the younger Lauzon. people will dismiss it as a slaughter

thats true, fisher said himself his wrestling sucks and sherk IS a wrestler and a much better one than danny lauzon. the fact is that other than hermes franca there really isn't anyone thats been 100% on in the UFC to challenge for the belt, so therein lies the problem of finding a suitable challenger

Why would they want to get rid of Lauzon? He dominated Pulver in impressive fashion. They will want to keep him and build on him IMO after his performances against Pulver and Fisher.

I think Hermes is certainly in line for the title shot and will get it but will lsoe the fight in another 25 minute fight with fghter entrances and pre fight clips which will suck up around 35 minutes of PPV time.

Fisher gets the fight. Melvin and Sam go at it. Pulver fights the loser of Mel vs Sam and the winner fights the winner of Fisher vs Sherk.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think Joe Lauzon has faced Spencer Fisher. Did he?

I think Fischer is the only lightweight who could finish Sherk. Guillard is too inexperienced. Stevenson doesnt look like he could. Not sure about Franca. Sherk is going to impossible to win a descision over. Fischer is a good striker and can hold his own on the ground.

Fisher's wrestling sucks and Sherk would have the strength advantage.Fisher would maybe be able to catch him standing with a flying knee or something like that ,but I think Franca has the best chance of beating Sherk.
