I was there and didnt think UFC 90 was that bad. I have always liked Sherk but he really impressed me by beating Tyson. If you would have told me Sherk wouldnt take Tyson down and still win I would have thought you were crazy.
I couldnt believe Fabrico weighed in at 256 considering his past couple fights in the UFC he had weighed in around 240. Not to mention you know he is was pissed that Dana said he was next inline for a title shot and somehow got left out. I then was reading more about Santos were it said he was 18-0 in kickboxing and was black belt. If Fabrico is weak anywhere its in his standup game. All them factors led me to believe that Fabrico was going to get upset.
I feel really sorry for Rich Clementi. I told my friends that Grey would win a boring ass decision. All he did was lay on Rich and he didnt do any damage at all. Boring ass fight.
Kos vs Alves was a great fight. I dont think Kos gets enough credit for taking this fight on 2 weeks notice against such destroyer in Alves. I didnt think Kos would be able to win if he didnt take Alves down. He did alot better on his feet then I thought but Alves still almost got that KO. Alves looked so confident coming to the ring and before the fight.
I dont know if GSP can beat Alves if he cant take him down. GSP has been very SCARED to stand since his KO loss to Serra. He just looks scared to get hit. Everytime GSP had Fitch rocked he wouldnt finish and would often take him down to play it safe. Im not sold on Alves ground name so who really knows.
I dont know what to say about Silva. Im kinda dissapointed in his performance. Then again maybe Dana White is right about Silva being out of sink. Silva didnt really look like himself and it did not seem like he could get Coteś timing down. So Im not sure you can really say Silva was clowning around. I will wait to see his next fight to judge. Im sure it will be Anderson vs Chuck in his next fight maybe in december.
