Although I think it is unlikely, I agree with you. I like Quarry and I will be hoping the upset, I think he has the tools to pull it off, he just can't make any mistakes.

Quarry will stand and strike with him, then get taken down and submitted. Maia should win by Submission in the 2nd round. I don't think Maia will ever be #1, but he'll be at the top no doubt.

I respectfully disagree.......Leben's strength is is stand up which always gives him a punchers chance, but so is Bispings....a striker usually wants someone to strike with him...Maia would have been a much more dangerous opponent as he has never been truly tested in BJJ....Charles Mcarthy is nowhere near Maia...

So you think Bisping isn't that good and you're upset because they had him fight someone who you also think isn't that good. Sounds like a contradiction, and based on what you wrote a perfect match up. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding though.

I think both these guys COULD take out Bisping, but not easily.

To actually adress the thread, I think Maia will be too much for Quarry on the ground, despite the fact that I know nothing about his take-down defense. Although, that's probably why they gave him this match: to find out.

Still, I'll be cheering for Quarry all the way. Because I like him as a fighter and because he's SO akward with Rogan in post-fight interviews that its halarious to watch. I'm pretty sure he asked Joe to move in with him after he beat Pete Sell.

No I'm not saying that Bisping is not that good, I just think Maia or Quarry(more so Maia) would have answered a lot more questions I have on Bisping than Leben....I understand why that didn't happen... if your Dana White you want to give your huge tv investment and marketable fighter the best possible match up....Leben did the trick because he has just enough credibility and matches up extremely well with him...if you think about it, Bisping hasn't had many opponents that he doesn't match up well with, hence the term "fed"...............

I think you are underestimating Leban, he's got more than 'just enough' credibility, sure the guy has acted like a major prick in the past, but he is a hell of fighter with a lot of heart and seems to be doing everything to sort his private life out - I think he gives everyone (apart from Anderson) a good fight at MW.

Anyway I would pick Maia for the win, but I like both guys so either way would be ok with me, should be a good fight.

Yes I see your point....I admit I've never really been impressed Leben, but it is easy for me to say this after the UK fight...I should have brought this up before it.....before the fight I was thinking how Macdonald handled Leben and then how Maia handled Macdonald so why not put Maia in there instead?
