Seems like a fair way to pay out is to have a big purse and a small one. The winner gets the big one and loser gets the small one. Guaranteed pay seems to make fighters lazy.

Faber's pay is low IMO, considering he is probably their biggest star.

good point, how come razor made more? he's not even the champ,they should have got a FOTN bonus as well apparently.faber is their cash cow and to be honest i don't think him losing really diminishes his credibilty.he will still putt cheeks in seats. i just think this pay ratio is getting to be kinda lopsided.i understand a big name like razor rob deserves some $$$, but when joe nobody comes along and upsets everything,he should be payed for his efforts.

Good point what? They don't get paid based on fight performance (that's what bonuses are for), they sign contracts, some of them are long term. If any fighter's gotta problem with his pay then he should fire his manager or pursue a different organization. It's a free market. It's capitalism.

BTW, I'm sure when time comes to resign for Faber, he will ask for way more money and get it too.

When Razor Rob signed his last deal he was the LW champ. Pulver is a relatively big name, and Faber is probably on the same contract as when Zuffa acquired the WEC. DemonPig knows what the score is.

i'm really happy for Garcia for winning his fight. he got a lot of talent, loved him when he fought in the ufc. sucks they get paid so little though.

Excuse me for saying this, as I hardly ever get upset especially while posting, but what the fuck is up with Faber's pay??? This guy is there golden boy!!

For some reason that really twists my nipples. I know they get sponsors and other bonuses or whatever but WTF. That is way too low for a champion.

All those fighters should be paid more IMO.

Phew, that's it. Had to get that out. Sorry for venting
