I don't think GSP has really gotten THAT much better. He just uses a different gameplan now that he is with Greg Jackson. He doesn't strike as much as he used to. The problem is that if GSP takes BJ down, then he will have a bigger problem. The only way I can see GSP winning is taking BJ down and somehow controlling him and scoring with GnP. Other than that I can't see GSP winning. BJ will score just as much if not more on standup. BJ has a better chance of a submission. BJ has a better chance at a KO. I think BJ has a better mental game. I just think that BJ takes it hands down. He won't run through GSP by any means...but he will win it decisively.

When GSP took Koscheck down, nobody was expecting it, nobody had any idea that he was that well-rounded. It's a known fact now, and I would imagine someone of Penn's calibre will be prepared for a variety of fronts.
And I agree with you that I think Penn's status as an elite striker is ultimately what is going to tip a very balanced fight. GSP just hasn't faced someone who can strike that well since their first fight.
Should be exciting!

I'm not going to bother making any predictions for the fight or trying to debate each fighter's weaknesses or strengths. We all know it and have known it for a long time. The first fight between these two is one of the most debated topics on this forum and we all seem like we're going to stick to our guns about who won that one.
I don't think anyone here will argue that both of these guys are top 5 p4p fighters in the world. They're elite fighters and both will come very determined and all of us win by being able to see this fight!

I can argue just about anything.
And I don't even have any guns.

Anyone think Penn will go for the eye poke again? J/K I like both fighters, I just hope they put on a spectacular show.
