UFC champ Randy Couture has just dealt with a distraction that has been haunting him, days before his championship fight in Las Vegas. But this time, it's not a cage fight, it's a court fight.

Couture's wife Kim just got a restraining order against the guy who runs Affliction, the clothing company that carries T-shirts and other items from Randy's clothing line, Xtreme Couture, which Kim runs.

Randy and wife Kim claim Affliction Prez Todd Beard has been on a campaign of terror against them since they asked for an accounting of profits. A Las Vegas judge just issued a temporary restraining order, prohibiting Beard from going near Kim, and that includes going near the MGM Grand when Randy fights this Saturday. And Beard can't go to the hotel during the weigh-in the day before either.

According to Kim Couture's declaration, Beard has made "a series of threats and acts intended to intimidate me and otherwise coerce me to 'back off.'"

She goes on: "My fear of Mr. Beard is well-founded given his extensive criminal history. Not only has he been convicted of numerous state and federal felonies relating to fraud ...he has engaged in numerous acts of violence, including violence against women."

Couture's belt is on the line Saturday night at the MGM grand, when he takes on Brock Lesner.

I think it says alot about the company when one of your "higher ups" is a felon with a rap sheet as bad as Beard's. What a thug.

it wil be intrested to see what comes of this, i am sure a lot of fighters have them as sponsers, and what if any ramifications this has on the fighters.

It sounds like they're not paying out the %'s they promised and now fighters/business partners are looking for answers. Always a good sign of a stable business relationship. Imaging if they're screwing Fedor out of profits fromhis t-shirt sales and they find out. ohhhhh the drama.

don't think it'd involve a restraining order, more or less Fedor shows up it this guys house, askes for sarah connor....uh, tod beard, and the rest is history.

Also, if you read randy's book, he talks about distractions prior to big fights hindering his performances, maybe he should lock himself in a bunker in bigbear for a few weeks prior next time.

No reason to use caps. Also if judge has seen enough to grant TRO there might be be something going on. So I don't see this as an excuse more like the pressure from Todd because Randy "left" them

And for the record I think Brock is going to win.

and they played a quick snippet of a answering message, todd says " randy if your listening to me right now, i hope lesnar fucking kills you on saturday.
