How about just enjoying a spirited bout between the 2? If the fight lives up to the hype will you not all be entertained?

Don't you know it!!! There will definately be an upset crowd and an "I told you so" crowd. That should get VERY interesting.

Bitch Trash, we get it:
- You train ... high-five
- Fighters improve over time
- Anything can happen in a fight
- Just because you like a fighter, doesn’t mean he will win
- MMA is hard to predict
Sorry, bub, but this isn’t exactly a newsflash to me or probably anyone on here. I’ll pick a guy to win a fight for any reason I see fit and won’t give a shit what anyone thinks about the prediction ...
... I got GSP by decision again because I think his cardio is better, he’s bigger, stronger, quicker, more explosive, and more athletic than BJ Penn—basically I think he’ll outlast BJ in a fight for the ages. Neither will be able to finish the other guy in my opinion. All under the condition that ... I could be wrong.

This will make for an awesome fight. GSP and BJ are both at the top of their games right now, both can strike and I might give the edge to BJ on the ground. Tough one to call, I'd probably go with GSP but wouldn't bet money on it.

I know it's just your opinion, and I don't mean to pick on you. However, I just don't understand why people think GSP has great striking, let alone better striking than BJ. Let's take both to an extreme level:
1. GSP was beaten senseless by a natural, ground-specialist, albeit heavy-handed LW (Serra).
2. BJ went the distance with arguably the best precision striking LHW/mixed martial artist in the game (Machida). | I agree. I think GSP has very good striking but BJ's hands are just as good if not better. GSP probably has ad in kicks.
I am real excited to see this fight. It may not have the star power name to the average fan like a Couture, Liddell or Lesnar fight might. But this is probably going to be two of the most well rounded fighters in mma history going at it. I can't think of any other match up where both fighters were as good at as many things.
IMO, the fight will come down to two factors
1) Can GSP take him down consistently? - This means being able to take him down in almost every round. If he can do that, he should score major points. I don't think BJ will be able to submit him from the bottom. GSP has been around a lot of submission guys and has never really been in any danger. He was never in any real danger of being submitted in their first fight.
2) Can GSP take this fight into the the 4th and 5th rounds? - If he can, I think the advantage swings greatly towards GSP. Although BJ has much improved cardio and conditioning, he doesn't have the gas tank that GSP does. He still looked very fresh in the 4th and 5th rounds of the fitch fight.
I totally think this fight can go either way. Though BJ is probably the more technical fighter, I think GSP is technically sound enough to avoid a lot of BJ strengths. I think overall, GSP is the bigger, stronger and more athletic fighter and that will be the difference. He will just be a little too much as BJ starts to tired in the 4th round. I see GSP either finishing BJ late in the fight or coming from behind on the score cards to take a unanimous decision.

Kidding. This post is a parody of the "GSP doesn't have a weak guard" argument of last night.
