It said that if they were to fight it would have to be an affliction/M-1/UFC co-promotion. This, will obviously never happen. The UFC has absolutely NOTHING to gain from a copromotion. All it does is use the UFC's popularity as a stage for it's competition to display their product. Obviously that is huge for the M-1/Affliction aspect, but what does the UFC gain from it? Seriously, name one positive aspect of a co-promotion for the UFC.

If I was Fedor I'd call him out now before he gets any better[ not that Brock could beat him anyhow] The UFC has to much to lose at this point with that fight but it could make both of them a lot of money thou.

Dana wants to put on the best product for his fans, so he needs Fedor.
Fedor wants to prove he's the best in the world, so he needs Dana.

I just think that there has to be SOME WAY, that both sides come together, eat some crow and agree to do what's RIGHT.

I kinda see this as a Vince McMahon and Sting situation, since they're just so different, they're never going to converge.
No Fedor is the greatest mma fighter, not the greatest fighter. He would get tore up at HW in boxing, and he just lost in Sambo, so kinda means he isnt the greatest lol.

I agree with mostly everyone, Brock isnt even remotely close to being ready to fight Fedor. It would be a very quick match and end badly for Brock. UFC has the money to bring in Fedor, but so far I don't think they've made a serious offer to him. Are they afraid that no one would be able to beat him, just like Anderson Silva? Do they not want another division being so dominated that people have lost interest in it? Silva is so dominate as a champion, proving it definitively after destroying Dan Henderson, that the only way to give anyone a chance they are talking him into going to 205.

Fedor and M-1 would welcome a superfight with big bird if that was the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Boring shit is getting really boring.

I agree with the first part that it would be biggest fight card but at the same time UFC wouldn't be able to claim all the success as it's own (they would have to share it with M-1/Affliction).

In any case I see this as desperate move on M-1 part. First event lost money, second event got postponed so who knows how long Affliction will be around and this is exactly what Dana is hopping for. UFC has developed financial model and they are finally making money - same thing cannot be said about any other major promotion except Strikeforce.

Next couple of months will bring a lot of excitement in MMA world and ith strong showing by UFC other guys will have a hard time following. Let's just hope that they will not go down in flames.

I have very mixed feelings about that. On one hand I want the UFC to be the only orginization so that all the greatest fighters are forced under one banner, and there are endless possiblilties of superfights.

On the other hand competition typically brings out the best in the competing orginizations. With more orgs we get more mma on a regular basis. We also get a higher number of free shows such as Silva v. Irvin, countless orginizations on HDNET FIGHTS, Elite on CBS (for a short while), and free undercards from Affliction. Competition also makes each orginization put on the best possible cards now to attract the most attention away from their competitors.

While it would be nice to have all the best fighters in one orginization it may turn out not being the best for fans.

Fedor and M1 may welcome whatever the fuck they want, Dana White can give 3 fucks! Brock Lesnar will fight UFC fighterts, next is Mir or Nog, then maybe Gonzaga Vs Kongo winner should he get passed Mir or Nog, FEDOR can go fuck himself for all UFC cares, if he wants to fight Brock, come on down to the UFC pussy, your Sambo BS ain't an excuse anymore since you got your ass handed to you.
