Is it a shame, yes. Is it a bigger loss for the UFC of Jon Fitch though? Obviously Fitch. It's like leaving the NFL to go play Arena....

I also doubt AKA is completely going to bail on the UFC. I'll believe it when I see it that Kos, Swick, etc.. are all being cut over the same thing.

On the flipside of this coin, Fitch gave up a great career in the UFC, because he didn't want them to be able to use his likeness in a video game if he left?

First off, they probably wouldn't use him in a game if he left. Why promote someone elses fighter?

Just a really big consequence from such a petty matter.

How is losing your 2nd best welterweight good business? You truely think Fitch had more value to them as a toy or a video game character than as a fighter and a representitive of their product?

I guess the UFC has a huge roster and isn't too worried about anything, which is why a monopoly is brutal for this sport.

are gaming rights that big of a deal? I don't know much about video games, but it doesn't sound like it's worth losing your livelyhood over... not that I think the UFC is in the right.

Wow, I hope both parties are able to find a way to work this out.

I hope we get to see Fitch in the UFC again, I mean who else is there for him to fight out their that isn't on the Zuffa roster besides Shields and who even says they will land in the same org.

This makes no sense, give Karo a 6 or 8 fight extenison and get rid of Fitch... what?
