| Jeff Monson v. Tim Silvia?
What does everyone think about the idea of a Monson / Tim Silvia match up. Could Monson overcome the height difference, defend against Silvia's strikes? Think he would stand a chance?

It'll never happen. Why? Because there's no such thing as Tim Silvia.
Me? you talking to me? lol

I think Monson has a great chance. He's a beast of a man and I think it would be a great fight. I am sure he's used to working around height disadvantages. I would put my money on Jeff.

I think Tim Sylvia has way too much a reach advantage, much like Pe De Pano, and unlike Pe De Pano he's got too good of striking and too good of takedown defense and size advantage over Monson. I think he'd destroy him, not sure if he'd get the knockout though.

That's a tough one. Like my bo Freak said, Monson is a beast, but at 6 feet, he's considerably smaller than Tim.
I think Monson's got Tim beat in the overall skills department, but I also feel that Tim's reach advantage would be too much for him.
My pick: Tim. Having said that though, I don't know what implications the fight will have because I think that Arlovsky will beat Tim at UFC 61.
Later.
