| Dana White: CroCop could return to UFC in 2009
Source: Best damn sports show period Quote:
dana white recently was a guest on the best damn sports show period to promote ufc 92 for this saturday.
"this saturday is going to be off the fucking charts. We are going to do great numbers, and it's very suprising because right now, we got guys going out of buisness, and buisnesses are closing, we are in a great place right now."
dana white said that there was a possiblity we could see hendo/silva next year, but doesn't make sense right now.
"that fight doesn't make sense at all. Hendo has a chance to beat franklin and coach on next season's show. It will probably eventually happen, but not now."
dana hinted at a possible return for liddell saying that next year he will make his return.
"he has been texting me and calling me every week about when he is going to fight next. He want's to fight tomorrow. He will fight sometime next year. It's been really crazy with him coming off that loss to evans but we'll get him back in there in march or april."
while dana didn't name a possible opponet, he did hint that it could be a guy he has already fought before.
"i'm not the one to call out fights, but he will be fighting someone that he has already fought before. I can give you that."
dana said that pride was coming to an end when they started doing cross promotion fights and still think's that the buyout is what really needed to happen.
"pride was kicking our ass at the time. They were doing everything right, and we were too, but for some reason, they were coming out first. Pride is gone, and thankfully we can sleep in peace."
he comments on next year at ufc 100 that there will be some great fights, and hints that we could see a return.
"we haven't really discussed that yet. We have alot of shit we are doing, and that event isn't on our heads. We could see the return of cro cop on the show, who knows. If he wins, he will definately be welcomed back into the ufc."
this time, he comments on affliction and says they were one friends, but ever since they decided to do their own thing, it has been war.
"you never know what is going on with affliction. One day we were friends, hanging out, and the next they decided to promote fights. I'm not going to have a guy we are helping out to promote fights. The minute i heard that, that is when i called lorenzo and put a stop to this shit. Affliction is doing their own thing right now and will eventually fade away. I'm not going to anymore details, but they will be gone. Just watch."
dana white came to a close and said that ufc 92 will be the biggest stacked card in 2008, and that we will see the true winners at ufc 92.

Yea... if he can get pass through Choi... if not I bet Dana, Joe Silva and BJ Penn would put Choi up in the burrito diet so he can make 265, who knows maybe he will pull a Corey Hill and drop down to 205
Nah but seriously, I like Cro Cop but hate the fact he's not fighting Overeem... seems like someone is ducking someone else... don't know who for sure but it seems like its Mr. Cop.

Kinda misleading subject title, you even misquote Dana.
he said Quote: |
We could see the return of cro cop on the show, who knows. If he wins, he will definately* be welcomed back into the ufc."
| Thats a very vague and misspelled* statement.

misleading title.
But i'm still happy to read that he might come back to the UFC.
I'm a fan of CroCop's left leg.

Big Crocop fan and just have a bunch of respect for the man, but haven't seen that same terminator for a long while now.
Kinda feel that if they bring him back before he's really shown to us that he's back to form, they'll just feed him to Brock to give Lesnar another big name W. Seeing that if Crocop comes back after the Nog/Lesnar fight, Lesnar's gonna need a big win to regain some of his momentum and get back into the title picture. Don't really know if this would be the be the best thing for Crocop until he starts looking like the destroyer of years past.
I wanna see his rematch with Gabe, maybe a Couture fight, but other than that, I think Mirko would be better suited with Affliction/Japan.
