anyway, i do have to say it does explain Rich's wife looking as shook as she was and Franklin looking physically bad and having some pour body language. it makes a whole lot of sense. walking in he looked like the octagon was the last place in the worl the he wanted to be. I know dana has a rep for being a dick, i don't know if the is that bad to give rich an altimadum. 1. silva only had 1 us fight to hype him so its not like it was really set to be a super fight end all be all. 2 rich can go fight anywhere in the world, for anyone and make alot of money, f@ck xyience there are plenty of other sponsors rich could have. dana may have leaned on him if he was sick, but i don't think he would throw someone the ufc has invested so much into to the wolves. unfortunatly rich probably won't get a rubber match, we won't see him get a title shot until later 07 or early 08.

Ok so there is rumors about rich franklin. And you know something i could believe them because he did not look like the same fighter and i could tell the moment i saw him enter the octagon and from there i knew the outcome of the fight. But i know that there will be a rematch and suspect rich franklin to reclaim his belt. Yes that is right i said it "His belt"

i dont expect silva to dominate , but i do expect a more competetive fight. my money would be on rich in the rematch, whenever the hell that would be.

Hey I am a Franklin fan myself but I cant see how some of yall are just saying with ease how Rich would take this fight and get his belt back if he had a rematch with Silva. The guy got romped hard, real hard the last fight. There was no offense whatsoever from Rich. Now I dont know if this rumor is true or not yet but if it is that for sure would be a factor in how his performance was. Either way Rich will have to be training hard to capitalize on his mistakes, mainly defending the clinch. It'd be a war and I'd like to see the belt with Rich again sometime next year as well. Just dont be counting Silva out so fast, he's a huge threat.

If this is true then it would explain a lot of the weird pre-fight stuff. I thought originally it was just a combo of nerves and ring rust but this would explain things better.
As far as Silva goes though you can take nothing away from the guy, he beat what ever was put in front of him and did it quickly.
As for Dana well I'm kinda torn. A guy leading a company that has its biggest rival starting to try and crack the american market just around the corner, what the fuck is he gona do, pop on out say sorry folks and send them home? People may think he's being a dick but he's also probably doing the right bussiness thing. People wanted a main event for their money and they got one. Franklin vs Silva II will hopefully solve all these problems.

The guy lost. Why can't some of you losers just accept it and let it go?
You saw him enter the cage and thought to yourself "Oh! There is something wrong with Rich and he does not want to be there!"? Give me a break and don;t give yourself too much credit. Trust your instinct, you are a dumbass.
Rich lost the fight fair and square and he will try to regain his belt in a year or so after some warm up matches against the likes of Swick who will by that time has become a useless fighter who will continue to be utilized for his fame gained from the show.

It really sucks that he had to fight like that. It's good that this finally came out. I would rather be wrong than have Rich be that out classed. When nothing was said about Rich's heath going into that fight I really believed that Rich was just not not in the same league. I really am looking forward to seeing Rich healthy again., I want to see how he will fair next time.
