Rich KICKED HIS ASS all over the octogan and he still kept coming. and he was more composed then any fighter ive ever seen when he was busted wide open by Gideon. i just see Cote outclassing him the hard way!

Let's look at all of these guys:
Lindland - Its gonna take a hefty paycheck to coax Lindland away from the IFL and other organizations, but he has a shot at beating Silva. He's got a history of taking out good strikers (i.e., Baroni at UFC 42), and he's as experienced as they come. Silva would most likely be able to get past him, but it'd be a good fight.
Swick - Probably the guy with the best chance of beating Silva right now...he's bulldozed through most of his opponents, and looked great against Loiseau. His hands are at least as fast as Silva's, and he's definitely got KO power. Experience could be a factor, though.
Lutter - I'm assuming Lutter wins TUF4. He got by Scott Smith and Pete Sell, and will probably beat Cote, but I'm just not convinced he can hang with the present top dogs right now. IF he can get Silva to the ground, he stands a ground n pound chance.

Swick looked good against Loiseau cuz Loiseau wasn't being aggresive and that is Swick's bread and butter, aggresiveness. Swick gassed in Rd 3 and had he not had the heart he has, Loiseau would have probably taken him out. Silva wouldn't fight the fight Loiseau did...he'd crush Swick! it's too early for Swick to fight him.

And the fact we are all talking about Lindland coming in after leaving the UFC and fighting in 3 other shows since to just walk back in and get the title shot. of course his reign in pancrase matters.

why isn't Silva fighting until Feb? are they waiting for Franklin to heal??
Also Swick does NOT have good stand up, he's just been lucky, and if they give him a shot at the title against Silva i have a feeling he'll end up like apollo creed, lol, fucking swick-o-tine
