i agree with you man, just do what i do: tell him to punch you while pressing the action, but just sparring. he can't. one of my friends brother was watching the fedor/fujita fight, when fedor got knocked and started clinching and saying he's a fag for doing that. i told him to spin around ten times and lets see if you can survive. he spun and i spun an open hand to his face and he spun right into my kithen floor. he didn't call fedor a fag after that. i have a lot more stories but thats for another time.

That's risky, to change the opinion of the casual fans one person at a time approach. Especially in that style, proving with physical actions why people can't do what some casual fan would blurt out "why don't they just do this" kinda thing. At least for me it is, I'm not trained in anything and I don't wanna risk trying to show someone why they can't do what they keep shouting they'd do if it was them, because I figure if I try and prove them wrong I'll screw up since I don't FULLY know what I'm doing, and could pretty much just make it so they can feel they were right. But if you know what you're doing inside and out, shit start doing seminars where people just come to watch tapes and tell you what they'd do, you say get up and do it and prove their asses wrong. Travel the country, and soon enough we'll have this casual fan problem fixed quick, fast and in a hurry. HOLLA.

BTW - this is an awesome thread. I like unique threads and topics that you wouldn't see 100 times on every other forum out there. This is one of them, sharing experiences of watching MMA with uneducated fans of the sport blurting out how they're badder just from watching and thinking they could do what the pro's are struggling with so much easier just by "well if it was me right there I'd just punch him and stand up!"
