Wand, Fedor,Nog, and Henderson(Yeah he would beat Franklin). Ultimately Wand. He has proven he takes on all comers win or loose, but rarely looses.

I'm fairly new to the MMA scene, and I'd have to go with Hughes. But after reading through all of these posts, I'd love to see Fedor's fights.
Later.

Later. | the reason i broke it down is because all the fighters in each whgt class needs the respect. if not then fedor is definately the best p4p fighter all around. can you see hughes, franklin, hansen, gomi beating fedor. hell no. that is why i put the wght classes. people said that BJ penn was the best p4p fighter, but against fedor or Big Nog, not a chance. that;s what p4p means, in that persons wght class.
to see fedors fights, buy the dvds. i would say the 2004 HW grand prix, or go to one of those sites, whatever. but i recommend buying the dvds or ordering PRIDES NYE show.

I think P4P means in general
is Matt Hughes a better welterweight then Fedor is heavyweight?
remember when Roy Jones was considered the best P4P fighter did anyone for one second think they he could beat Lennox Lewis? nah, but he was a better Light Heavyweight then Lewis was heavyweight at the time, of course we know that Lewis near the end of his career was probably the best P4P.
Either way if im wrong, thats how ive been makin my choices heh

This is where I get into arguments with people. I've heard this theory before, but it's really dog shit. You're just saying the best fighter at this certain pound, not pound for pound. Pound for pound as I know it means if weight weren't an issue. Forget weight and size, who's the best fighter walking the planet today. If Fedor weighed 170 lbs. but still fought exactly the same, could he beat Matt Hughes? That's what P4P should mean, otherwise why is there a P4P list if it's just saying who the best in each weight class is? Isn't that what regular rankings are for?

Im sorry but you cant even consider Franklin P4P . He is not even fighting in his class if he is a 185 fighter he has to be the biggest 185 pound man ive ever seen, I know fighters have to cut pounds, but i would put money on it that he rite now is 220

| P4P Criteria
perhaps we need some criteria for this discussion-
Skill set- are they a stand up fighter, ground fighter, or submission specialist, or are they VERY well rounded
How vulnerable are they to getting KO'd or submitted. I.E glass chin, no ground skills, or just can't stand and fight without absorbing a lot of punishment
How effective are they in the ring/octagon. Do they win convincingly or are they teh beneficiary of suspect decisions
Regardless of weight the fighter that encompasses the most of these qualities should be argued as the best P4P fighter.
The fighter having all of these qualities and has proven it at 3 weight classes is BJ PENN. P4P best in the world. Fedor and Wanderlei running 2nd and third not necessarily in that order.

well Fedor has dominated his weight class the best. Hughes has had his short comings against Penn and Hallman, while struggling wit guys like GSP, Trigg and Sher. Fedor has always been dominant in his fights and faced the best of the best

fedor is sick and he is in his prime right now but i think before its all said and done his brother aleksander will be the better fighter of the two. That was a bullshit lost to barrnett and i guarntee it would never happen again
