| Fighters jumping to different MMA Federations?
Since the MMA scene in the world, especially in North America is starting to really blow up, I feel that the times will be changing in terms of Fighter loyalty in terms of company. I don't see all the top fighters staying in one fed for ever. At some point in the near future, fighters contracts will start to get bigger and better, and at that point I think you will see federations battling to get fighters to jump from their current promotions and changing the face of the others. I don't doubt that the UFC will start to try and take some of Pride's top talent, but which talent would leave Pride, IFL, WFA, or K-1 or who would leave the UFC for one of the other promotions is the question. So if you were betting people, which top MMA fighters do you think will make shocking jumps to different MMA federations. Will we see Shogun in UFC? Would Arlovski ever venture into Pride? Could the IFL or WFA steal a fighter of the caliber of GSP or Mark Bernett. Now I'm not saying that these fighter would jump, but I'm sure that this type of thing will happen, and in some cases it will be a big surprise and shock to see certain MMA fighters in an entirely different environment.
So my question to you is, what top MMA fighter can you see making the choice to leave the fed that they are in now and try to conquer new MMA territory? How do you see this fighter doing and do you feel that it will be a successful venture? Who do you think will never be swayed by cash, who will stay in their respective federation until they retire? Will Rich Franklin ever be a Pride FC champ?
Just think about a UFC PPV with Franklin vs Henderson for the title, or a WFA PPV with Cro Cop vs Arlovski. There are some exciting times coming for the sport of MMA in the future. Who will survive and who will disappear?

i don't see WFA lasting much longer. i think strikeforce has the best chance of the smaller promotions at becoming a bigger venue. IFL is sweet too, but their "superfights" aren't exactly that super aside from miletich, pulver and gracie. whatever happened to that "world fighter championship" that frank shamrock supposedly signed with months ago. i heard there was supposed to be something with them in december

making one org. would be to hard to do cause there would be to many fighters and i cant see 8 hours PPV's happening netime soon. if they did make 1 org. u would run into no talent being brough up cause the big guns would always be on the shows. it would be good in the fact that the shitty guys would get weeded out but i dont think it would work very well.
the thing i would like to see is more Pride, IFL, Strikeforce etc on TV. everyone gets the impression that the UFC is teh standard because thats all that tends to be on TV unless u luck out and fight some pride on best damn sports show or something. get some pride on a channel and that would be sweet.
for all us canadians here i was watching te score lastnight and there is some new show debuting called Hardcore Championship Fighting. i forget the day but i think it was Nov. 15th or something like that

No they need to make one governing body, with a true ranking system (LIKE SHOOTO) and have a unified undisputed champ in each division along with 1 set of rules. but the greed of the promoters will keep that from happening

| Do you know any other MMA show times on Canadian TV? I'm never able to find anything. I have caught Apex and KOTC Canada at random times. I saw IFl once on Sportsnet.

I like having many organizations. It keeps all the companys competetive. You dont want one organization having a monopoly on mma. Then they can put out shit cards and theres nothing you can do about it. Right now the fans have a choice. Plus you can watch a few pay per views a month instead of just one.

Some possible future 'trades'.
Cro Cop, Aleksander, Bustamante & Shogun -- Pride to the UFC.
Tito to WFA or some other up and coming org if he loses to Chuck convincingly.
Rich Franklin, Matt Hughes, Arlovski -- UFC to Pride.
Jason Miller to Pride from wherever the hell he's fighting.

you dont want MMA to stay segregated, because you will never get to see the best fight the best, and eventually the product dies out.. it bugs me already that I dont get to see the best fight the best in MMA.

Look a t all the boxing organizations, titles and Championship belts they have to offer. They may have gone over board, but look at the opportunities it gives the fighters.
I keep hearing MMA Champions and belt holders saying they want to fight the best competition there is. We, the fan also want them to do the same, and they should be able to that, but they get handcuffed by what ever organization they are currently with.
I don’t think unification is the answer. I think the more avenues a fighters has the better chance of making a career and a living in MMA.
