lol, yeah you're right, I was to lazy to check before I posted and I could not remember (though I was thinking 61 and was thinking the next UFC was 66, it is becasue of all of the hype the UFC cards receive here and the fact that UFC likes to start promoting 2 PPV's ahead).
Define "New Talent". A. Silva to the UFC is "New Talent", UFC likes "cheap talent" and that I have a problem with.
PRIDE brings in new talent but they don't bring in fighters that are up and coming talent who will develop 4 years from now, they bring in fighters they can put up against good names right away.
Snake is a good example of this. Pride Debut he fights SHogun at the OWGP and totally dominates the standup, Shogun takes the fight to the ground and gets the victory.
UFC brings in New talent Kongo and he fights a can and wins unimressively and is names the next big thing (ofcourse the UFC is the one that made that claim), then he fights another can and gets raped. His standup is nowhere near any good K-1 strikers levels, it is average at best.
That is the difference in marketing strategy between Pride and the UFC which is why PRIDE is going to do so well with the US market.
