Baseball and Football are so busting with roid heads its funny that Bonner who makes 20k a fight if he is lucky, gets any real hate for taking them.
Its not right he took them but for crying out load in Baseball they pretty much take them at will and football its mandatory. I just wonder if the same people that hate on him are equally demanding of other athletes.
We all know he took a steroid to help him train its not the type that would make him superman in the ring. I am totally against the use of all banned substances except pot |

From: http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...=2373&zoneid=1 Quote: Also, we've gotten many questions from readers in recent weeks and months asking how much the winners of The Ultimate Fighter actually make with their supposedly "six-figure" deals. We've answered this question before, but it's worth briefly recapping one more time. If you say to the average person that you're making "six figures" in salary from a particular employer, that is widely regarded to mean that you are making in excess of $100,000 per year from that employer. However, that is not the case with the TUF winner's contracts.
As previously reported by MMAWeekly, each TUF winner's contract bind the fighter exclusively to the UFC for three years, with three fights per year. In the first year, the salary for each fight is $12,000 to fight and an additional $12,000 to win. Fighting income for the year would range from $36,000 to $72,000, depending on wins and losses. In the second year, it's $16,000 and $16,000 per fight, meaning that fighting income for the year would range from $48,000 to $96,000. In the third year, it's $22,000 and $22,000 per fight, meaning that fighting income for the year would range from $66,000 to $122,000. That is actually a six-figure income in one year out of three, or zero years out of three, depending on wins and losses. | |

Bonnar Fined, Suspended for Nine; Expected Back in Spring 2007 By Thomas Gerbasi
UFC light heavyweight Stephan Bonnar was fined $5,000 and suspended for nine months (retroactive to August 26) by the Nevada State Athletic Commission Friday for testing positive for anabolic steroids after his UFC 62 loss to Forrest Griffin. Bonnar will be eligible to fight again in May of 2007.
“We support the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s ruling today on Stephan Bonnar, and believe it is necessary - for the continued growth of our sport and the safety of the athletes involved – to stay vigilant and continue to drive the use of performance enhancing substances out of mixed martial arts,” said UFC President Dana White. “At the same time, we stand by our fighter and will do all we can to help Stephan through this difficult time.” http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=news.detail&gid=3701 |

That's BS compared to how much those TUF fighters are bringing in in terms of new fans and their financial support, UFC is making a killing off of those guys.
Oh well, you can take it in stride and just push yourself harder, knowing they are fugging you should fuel the fire for you to win and leave them or renegociate with them once the contract is up. Then you can be like Rampage and say "you gotta up my pay baby".

I figured after all they went through to become the winner, that he would at least give 'em 100K no matter what.
I guess the real money is to be made off of "Xyience" and clothing merchandise sales. I think they also get a small fee for public appearances ($2500.00) like when Chuck went to a baseball game last month.
