My gut feeling tells me that by the end of this year we will see new UFC champions in every weight class. We already have Sean "The Muscle Shark" Sherk as the new light weight champ, and Anderson "The Spider" Silva as the new middle weight champ.

I think that in the up coming bout between Hughes and St. Pierre we will see GSP get the best of Hughes. I think that if Hughes shows up anything like the fighter that SHOULD have lost to Penn then he will get dominated. GSP is the far better athlete and has accumulated several years of fight experience and training since their last fight.

In the heavyweight bout between Tim "The Maine-iac" Sylvia and Jeff "The Snowman" Monson we will see a huge clash of styles. Everyone is ruling "The Snowman" out because of the apparent height and reach advantage, but this is a guy that went three rounds with "The Iceman". Now I know that they fought years ago but Chuck still had the knockout power then that he has now. I think that Monson will finally show the one true weakness of "The Maine-iac" and that is the ground game.

Lastly and the most anticipated fight of the year is Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell and Tito "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Ortiz. I think that though Tito has not looked very good in his only match with a decent opponent (Forrest Griffin) he will surprise "The Iceman". I think that Chuck is starting to over look some of the competition and putting all his eggs in one basket by believing that he will knock everyone out. I think that he looked out of shape against Babaloo and that he will underestimate Ortiz. Ortiz wants this win very badly and I don't think that Chuck has the desire to step up his training. I do believe that after Tito beats Chuck in December the rubber match will go to Liddell. This will be a wake up call for Chuck that he is not unbeatable.

Well let’s see what you guys think. I know that some of you will completely rip this apart, but at least give some good input besides just saying your wrong. If I am wrong argue your point. Laterz people and only time will tell.

i think gsp will beat hughs. anderson silva will probably stay there for a while. i would like to see sherk vs melvin. i dont kno if the snow man is the guy to beat syvia but i think some one will beat him. i would love for it to be andrea arlovski if he ever comes back lol.

A. Silva will remain champion for a long long time, even if they bring Lindland in, he can't finish Silva and there is no way in hell he can avoid being KOed for 25 minutes.

I feel strongly that Hughes is goign to win, lots of people love GSP but Hughes always wins, he's not some lucky fighter who has been fighting cans and squeeking by, he is a dominant wrestler with great submissions and gnp, he owned GSP on the ground with absolute ease and when GSP had Hughes grounded, he landed nothing. I'm certain his game plan has changed but Hughes will avoid damage in the standup and take the fight to the ground.

It is a different fight with Hughes vs Penn as Penn dominates the standup and ground whereas Hughes dominates the ground over GSP, that will play a huge role in the fight, mark my words.

Tim Sylvia is a can, I am not sure that Monson can beat him because fo the huge height and reach advantage but what he should do is wait for Sylvia to throw something (which may take 5 rounds if it is anything like AA vs Sylvia III) and then bum rush him, eat a punch but still get the takedown and then manhandle Sylvia on the ground. I think Sylvia is the huge favorite in this fight.

I think in 07 it will be the year of Brandon Vera, he will be the HW champion and hopefully drop down and fight Chuck. At 6'-6", a phenomenal striker, wrestler and grappler, it would by far be Chuck's most difficult test since the beating he took at the hands of Rampage. Vera with his height and reach along with his versed skills will prove to be overwhelming for his competition and I can only imagine what he would dod to the LHW division.

So in conclusion, in 06 we have seen all of the belts change hands, therefore Hughes, Chuck and Sylvia will retain for the remainder of this year.

Sylvia's reach is going to be jst to dominant for Monson to deal with.
Hughes just manages to win, no matter what. I think hughes gets him down and does his thing. GSP is a great fighter, but I say Hughes in the 3rd or 4th rd.
Chuck.......well Chuck should dispose of Tito....Tito's only hope is to get Chuck down........easier said than done.....and keeping him there if he CAN take him down. Chuck via rd 2 KO.

So I guess I think we've seen the last of the titles changing hands for this year.

silva holds the title until a rematch with franklin or a fight with lindland

i KNOW chuck will beat tito cause tito doesn't have a chance and hasn't finished a fight other than canrock since losing to chuck

i REALLY want monson to beat sylvia but i don't really know. i like monson as a fighter way more and hate sylvia, but he's champ for a reason. i know monson went three rounds with chuck, but chuck isnt a foot taller than him.
