Misaki vs Kang was awesome

Kang vs Gono was pretty cool

Ishida was entertaining as usual

Aoki was sickening

Even Filho was ballin'

But other than that very boring

I think Mousasi- who won the alternate bout- was too tired to compete and so they grabbed Misaki

Mousasi was gassed

I agree with your assessment. Misaki/Kang is definitely a fight of the year nominee. Both of the guys came in a little banged up and gave it their all. Best fight of the night easily.

I was disappointed that Filho had to pull out of the finals, he was very impressive in his match with Misaki. We'll probably see Misaki/Hendo III in the near future, with the winner fighting Filho after.

I really wish it was Aoki/Melendez, but Aoki is always fun to watch either way.

Some of the fights were definitely boring. I expected a hell of a lot more out of the Aurelio/Gomi match, which had ZERO action in the 1st round. It just looked like Gomi was scared of Aurelio's ground game and Aurelio was scared of Gomi's striking. Very boring match.

I missed out on much of Minowa/Barton. Heard that Minowa was a bloody mess and that the judges robbed Barton giving Minowa a UD.

Also Joe Pearson of MFS was pretty impressive pulling off the upset of Maeda. He sunk that guillotine in their early. It didn't take long to get the tap.

Overall it was an average event, not even close to as good as I expected it to be. Sometimes that's the way it plays out though. The matchmaking was there. Just not a whole lot of action.
