They definitely got a nice result, a Japanese guy won - the same guy who gave the champion Henderson a tough fight the first time, and beat him the second. Henderson picked up a win over a former top 205 lber in the U.S. debut, Misaki follows up his performances by winning their first tourney, and now the biggest show of the year is coming up. Decent addition, won't be the main event but makes even the undercard fights on their show something important.

I'm surprised he didn't. Looking forward to seeing his fight with Misaki too. I never judge before I see, and for that fight I've heard two different accounts given by a lot of people. Not sure which is correct 'til I see it.

He definitely deserved the win, in a very good match with Kang.
I was rooting for Aurelio, but Gomi definitely deserved the split decision. Neither fighter did much, but Aurelio did pretty much nothing besides 2 take downs. He would get his take downs stuff and that made Gomi look good, because he would proceed to kick the shit out of Aurelio's legs till the ref would break, and stand Aurelio up. It was a lackluster fight either way. Aurelio and Gomi were both very tentitive.
as far as PRIDE= crap, how would you know? You've stated many times you don't even watch it. | haha so you do remember a lot of what i say. i dont watch Pride for my own reasons, mainly because i dont like how they handle their champions. every fight a champ is in should be a title fight. the champs shouldn't be allowed to compete in these tourneys cuz then even if they lose, they are still champions. Wandy lost to Arona and Cro Cop and is still champion. Henderson lost to Misaki and is still champion...it's stupid.
the UFC may feed their champs cans, but at least they defend their belts.

So they will give their fighters every opportunity to win a belt. Misaki is also deserving of a title shot after beating Hendo and Kang.

Wandy wouldn't of lost his title to Cro Cop regardless because they aren't the same weight class. Cro Cop would have to drop down to 205 for a title shot. I see you points, but to me, you gotta take the bad with the good.

why should a champ not be able to fight in a TOURNEY, or why should these lose there belt?
a tournament is different from a regular match, what kinda crap would it be to pass around the title belt in a tourney? that wouldnt be very attractive at all.

Yeah, I don't think champs should have to defend their belts in tournaments, winner gets a title shot, and if the champ wins, it just shows his dominence in the division.

i just think that in tournaments of that calibur, that involve the best in the division, they should be fighting for a shot to face the champion. that's just my opinion.
