Most people are just going in, checking it out and leaving it according to the server. You guys should get together and schedule chats or something. Otherwise it'll take a while before people start regularly chilling in there. I've dealt w/ chat rooms before, that's generally how they go even with pro wrestling which is more popular than MMA, and my pro wrestling stuff online is much bigger than my MMA stuff so there's more promotion to it. So it'll take time to catch on by itself, but most people when there's a ton on the forums or a good argument going, should just say alright - get your ass in the chat room let's battle this one out with instant communication.

I go into the chat room then go to view stuff in other windows but by the time I check to see if anyone else has come into the room they already left before I realized that they're were in the room.

What server is it on? For those people who would rather use mIRC.

I think that just means someone tried making you an admin when you first went in there. Just click apply and close that window out, and chat away in the regular chat room. It's not that difficult guys lol.
