Silva is my fav. but as far as why i personally hate sylvia, it would have to be his overall low class mentality. He looks like her should be fighting in the trailer park not the octagon

In my humble opinion, that is no reason to hate anyone, especially considering Fedor isn't exactly a GQ model either, and is flabby around the midsection. If you want to see good looking men, go look at a Chippendale's calendar.
When it comes to fighting, he is the best heavyweight in the UFC. Get used to it. AA was my favorite HW champ, but he got beaten twice and that's the way it is. When is it that we as mma fans are going to start admitting that what we see on a piece of film is actually fact, and not a matter of our own opinions no matter if it upsets us or not. I'm probably gonna say some stuff right now that's gonna piss a lot of people off.
BJ Penn lost fair and square to Matt Hughes. No matter if he hurt himself or not, he lost the fight. Injuries are a part of the game and you can't blame Hughes for winning. He came out on top. Bitching about it doesn't put a belt around Penn's waist. I'm a Penn fan...hate Hughes.
Same can be said about GSP. He wasn't caught in a "lucky armbar" by Hughes. There's no such thing as a lucky armbar, because Matt Hughes is an MMA fighter who trains in armbars ALL THE TIME. That was a very well technically executed submission with perfect timing. Hughes beat GSP. It might be a different outcome in the rematch, but I have learned NEVER to bet against Hughes.
Rich Franklin lost the fight against Anderson Silva because he was outclassed in skill and technique. Whether there was a family tragedy or a sickness, or whatever...that has not been confirmed. Even so, he could have pulled out of the fight but instead went out and was destroyed. Once again, part of the game and once again, I love Rich Franklin.
Herb Dean is a good referee. His stoppage of the Ortiz/ Shamrock fight was justified, as all he did was save Shamrock from eating more elbows and possibly being pummeled to death. His stoppage of the Mir/ Sylvia fight was justified as well. Did you see Tim's arm? That was some sick shit!
Fedor is NOT undefeated. He has one loss. It was an avenged loss, but cuts are a part of the game. The man is seemingly an unstoppable force in mma, but he has a loss. Accept it.
Anytime a fighter is beaten, he has not been "OMG LIEK>>>!EXPOSED'D WTF?!" ...he just lost a fight. It happens to everyone. And I mean everyone. See the above paragraph.
PRIDE is where UFC rejects go to revive their careers. This is not a knock on PRIDE, rather the UFC. The UFC is quick to release a fighter after a couple of losses, rather than keeping them around and give them time to improve. Wanderlei Silva immediately comes to mind, losing fights to Vitor Belfort and Tito Ortiz, who he would crush today. Without being told by the UFC that he wasn't good enough, he might have never found the will to shut up the critics and become one of the most dominant fighters in the world. Other notable mentions go to Josh Barnett, Mark Coleman, and Kevin Randleman.
Brandon Vera, Nathan Marquardt, and Dean Lister have beaten NOBODY worthy of mention and do NOT deserve title shots. Marquardt would be the closest out of them, with wins over Ivan Salaverry, Joe Doerkson, and Yves Edwards, which I don't understand because Yves fights at 155 and Marquardt at 185. Vera has beaten Fabiano Scherner, Mike Whitehead, Justin Eilers, and Aussuerio Silva. The toughest challenge out of those fights was against Silva, who is most recognized for his fight against Tim Sylvia in which Tim shit his pants. Although Silva looks like he would be a tough fight, he has a modest record of 10-5, which is average at best. Back to the point, in order to impress me they have to beat someone worth fighting. They have NOT earned title shots. I once felt that way about Mike Swick, until he beat Louiseau, so I'm not un-sway-able in my opinions.
There are some things the MMA community just need to admit to. I'm sorry, face facts. The truth hurts. I hated seeing BJ and Rich lose their fights, I hated the stoppages by Herb Dean, I WISH I could say Fedor was undefeated, and I wish everyone would stop placing such bias in certain organizations/ fighters.

He uses drugs to cheat.
I'm surprised you haven't heard those two reasons before...

In fact, it is a matter of opinion. For example, in my opinion AA and Vera are both better fighters.

I hated seeing BJ and Rich lose their fights, I hated the stoppages by Herb Dean, I WISH I could say Fedor was undefeated, and I wish everyone would stop placing such bias in certain organizations/ fighters. | Tim Sylvia is an abomination! A really ugly fighter, both in look and in style. He has NO skills. And being the f*cking UFC heavyweight champion doesn't mean jack sh*t! Look at the roster, it's a f*cking disgrace! There are NO heavyweights worth a sh*t in the UFC. Take out AA, Monson, and Vera and you ain't got sh*t!
Then again, who the f*ck even wants to fight in the UFC anyway? For what reason? To make $5,000 for a championship fight? It's a complete disgrace. Once fighters actually make REAL money and not slave wages, then you might see young strong athletes actually give a sh*t about training fulltime in MMA.
There's NO money in MMA. Tim Sylvia is a big fat ugly fish in a tiny pond. The UFC heavyweight title is worth about as much as the sh*t swirling in my toilet.
If you want a legitimate UFC heavyweight roster, then expand that piece of sh*t with some real fighters. You can't have a 4-5 man division and expect people to take that seriously.
As for Fedor, you don't think he's got the looks? The dude is perfect for GQ. Cool, calm and collected with dynamite in his fists, ready to unleash pain on anybody who gets in his way.
Yeah, that's the kind of trouble Tim Sylvia doesn't have to worry about in his piece of crap division which he's a 'belt-holder' of. |
