Did you follow Pride USA? How would you compare Pride to the UFC?

Yes, I saw it. I think they have a lot of tough fighters as well. I think that maybe they have a few more known heavyweights than the UFC does. They have more recognition but I think I’m on the same level as those guys.

You have once said that you’d like to face Pride fighters and you even named Fedor Emelianenko. Has that fight been offered to you? Why did it not happen? How do you think you’d do against the Russian?

No, that fight has never been offered to me. After I beat Arlovski for the second time, I heard that Wanderlei had challenged Liddell so as soon I got home I called Dana White and asked what were the chances of UFC champions fighting against Pride’s. He said there was no chance of that happening. Against Fedor? I would beat him. I Think my striking is better and I think he hasn’t fought a tall striker like I am.

and i would go ahead and say that Semmy Schilt, the 7 foot K1 GP winner, is a taller, better striker then Big Tim. other then against Ricco, he has never shown a fantasic takedown defense, unless you count grabbing the fence and shitting his pants against Assuerio.

Fedor's never fought Mirko CroCop or Semmy Schilt or anyone tall that strikes well lol.

I know that everyone is going to give me some shit but, I like Tim Sylvia. He may not be the most talented fighter, but he throws and I like to see it when they connect. HOWEVER, I think Sylvia vs Fedor would be the biggest mistake of his career. If he thinks that Arlovski was some how unbeatable then he would not in anyway be able to handle Fedor. Fedor is definately in a class by himself and I don't see ANYONE in the world taking him out ANYTIME soon...
