| Aleksander Emelianenko vs. Fabricio Werdum-Nov. 12
Haven't really seen any talk about this fight on here. These two top 10 HW are squaring off at the 2H2H-Pride And Honor event in Rotterdam on sunday. This has the potential to be a really good fight. I'm sure Aleks is the favorite in this fight with most, but I really like Werdum's chances. He trains with one of the best strikers in Mirko Cro Cop, so I don't think Aleks will really show him anything he hasn't seen in regards to striking. If Aleks gases, like he has recently, he will be in big trouble if Werdum can get it to the ground. What do you guys think?
This originally was gonna be a pretty good card, but Alistair Overeem and Evanglista "Cyborg" Santos have both recently pulled out due to injury. "Cyborg" was originally replacing Murilo "Ninja" Rua, who had to pull out for a reason I do not know.

Is this going to be on ppv, if not, is there some other way to get this short of flying over there?

Werdum is a great fighter, i wish he would go the UFC. As for the fight, Aleks shouldn't really have much trouble. Even on the ground, i think Aleks's sambo background should help him out with a victory. I was impressed with Werdum's fight against Kharitonov, so we'll see what happens.
right now im saying, Aleks via TKO round 2

It's PRIDE rules, so it will be a 10 minute 1st round. If it does go to the 2nd round I think Aleks will be very gassed and Werdum could pull of a submission. If it ends early it will be because of a Emelianenko KO/TKO.

From what I understand Alek's is now training full time w/ Red Devil Fight Club. If he is and taking it seriously, I think he will need to win for fear of Fedor, he would be a hell of a motivator! "Run, Run fast or I will break you!".. l |

lol, i think his brother being fedor puts to much stress on him and thats where he makes his mistakes, as far as the fight goes, imo it could go either way

This is gonna be a great fight. It really could go either way. I don't think Werdum has any problem whatsoever facing top sambo fighters, and Aleks has been steadily improving.
Werdum has some of the cleanest BJJ and submissions in PRIDE/MMA today. And he's been training with Mirko for striking, so it all depends on whether or not he can withstand Aleks' standup and control the fight.
