Herb Dean has one questionable stoppage on hundreds of reffed matches. his stoppage of Sylvia vs Mir was one of the greatest jobs by a ref in the game, catching what happened and stopping the fight to save Big Tim's career
just because it Tito vs Ken didnt mean a damn thing other then it was about 10 seconds too early to be a late stoppage.
he is the 2nd best ref in the business, right up there with Big John.

Can't think of any in MMA but in boxing Mercer vs Morrison was really bad, should have been stoped at least 10 punches sooner

Def Ken v.Tito 2. The fight should have been stopped before it began. Tito should've fought a contender to build up to the liddell fight.

none of the shamrock fights were stopped too late.In fact there has yet to be a Pride or UFC fight stopped too late.

Well not to bash you but if you think Herb Dean is a bad ref bc of one questionable stoppage then I have to wonder if you really know what your talking about.

Herb stops a lot of fights kind of soon.Not too soon ,but soon nonetheless.Take for example the recent Jens Pulver vs. Joe Lauzon.Sure Joe was dominating anyway ,but that fight was still stopped a little soon.

Herb makes a lot of stops like these.Not extremely soon ,but soon nonetheless.Watch a herb reffed fight and think whether or not Big John would've let it go on longer.In almost every case John would've let it go on a little longer.

He's not as bad Mario Yamasaki though.

I thought the stoppage of that fight was good. IMO Pulver was out and Lauzon was about to do some more damage if Dean had not stopped it. Would you have rather Lauzon land some more shots on an unconscious Pulver?

Well maybe John would have let it go longer and maybe not. No way to really, know. I can see where your coming from I just do not agree with you.
