Yes!Pulver wouldn't of got hurt too bad by taking a few more shots in that fight so why not let him take them?Worst case scenario he gets KOed wakes up and than he's fine.

How do you know that? Pulver could have gotten hurt if Lauzon had unloaded on him some more. Pulver was out and there is no sense in hitting an unconscious man. Unless he owes you money.

I thought the Pulver stoppage was okay... Herb Dean gets a bad rep, but is in my opinion still the best Ref in MMA

BJM has produced two of the biggest fuck ups in UFC history in Sakuraba vs Silviera and Bustamante vs Lindland and still gets mad rep.. its crazy

But Sakuraba vs Smirnovas should have been stopped way earlier

People get hit all the time after being initially knocked out.It's safer than getting knocked out getting back up before the count of ten to continue fighting like in boxing.Pulver wouldn't have been too hurt after taking a few more shots.

Besides Pulver was'nt completely knocked out anyway.

Sakuraba vs. Smirnovas IMO Sakuraba was able to come back and get the victory, but at serious risk and possible long term damage. Another good example would be Leben v. Silva.... Dean has fought, and is a ref.... The reason I would assume he stops the fights is he is familiar w/ how much damage a fighter can take and does not want a serious injury. I myself think some fights are stopped early, but better early then someone dies an a santcioned MMA match which would be something that would set MMA back a good little bit.

What was wrong with the Lindland fight?

The Sakuraba fight was stopped soon ,but look at it from big Johns point of view.Sakuraba was a pro wrestler who had only had one fight before this fight(which was supposedly a "worked" fight) and took this fight on short notice.How was BJM supposed to know that Sakuraba would go on to become a superstar in mma?BJM was just doing what he felt was best for Sakuraba.Yeah the fight was stopped soon ,but it was ruled a no contest anyways ,so what's the problem?

Def the Saku vs. Smirnovas fight. No fighter should have to take that kinda beating. Pretty much any Saku loss, the Japanese refs seem to let him take horrible beatings, Arona and Silva, because they think he can come back.

Just bc people take shots after getting knocked out and do not seem to get too badly hurt does not mean it is not dangerous. This is not boxing so I don’t think your boxing point really applies here. Although I do agree with what you said on that subject. And once again, you do not know if Pulver would have been hurt or not if he had taken a few more shots. IMO Pulver was out and the match was over. Pulver said himself that he was knocked out.
