Rickson's son died. The fight fell through. Theres been rumblings for awhile now that this fight is still in the works. I for one dont see it happening. Though i did read in Gracie mag that Rickson has been training since Royce fought Hughes.

I'm gonna have to go out on a limb here and say that Rickson would beat Hughes.

I would love to say that, but Rickson is much older than Royce and you see what happend to him. Don't get me wrong, I think that Royce fight was a fluke and Royce underestimated him on the ground. Not saying Royce would have won, but in a rematch the fight would go to decition (like every other fight Royce has had unless it goes 7 rounds like with Saku).

But Rickson is just 2 damn old, I think Hughes would GNP him to death and avoid any subs.

I dunno if Matt would kill Rickson. Like its hard to say cuz I havn't seen him fight in years. He's the best one by far (the Gracies) but age is a huge factor.

You can't say he's the best by far, he's never fought anyone. Nobody knows except for the gracies and Royce was the second best and look what happend. Accually he's ducked all the good fights claiming he isn't getting paid enough. Sounds to me that he wants to keep his image in tact. He would lose IMO, MMA has evolved to much and he hasn't even cross trained in anything seriously. Matt is a wrestler and knows how to control the tempo of a fight and avoid subs pretty well. Rickson hasn't fought enough real fighters to know how to deal with that.

has had one draw, but the fight was on the beach against hugo duarte who he fought twice. Duarte got hammered by tank also.
I have to agree he's dodging fights, duarte also climbeb out of the ring against dead dog mark kerr.

He was the showcase Gracie not Royce. Royce was just chosen to reprsent the family in America. But u are right he never fought anyone of huge significance. This is just what ive heard Royce say.
