If Leben beats Franklin on anything other than a fluke cut, I'll eat a bowl of my own hair.

Assuming that the TUF4 winner (aka Lutter) gets the next MW title shot, and that Franklin will be out for another few months, the next fight for that title won't be till at least UFC 67...they'll probably put a LW title fight on that same card. I say if Franklin's healthy, give him another shot. If not, let Swick have his turn.

In a perfect world, we'd have Leben/MacDonald and Franklin/Swick, with the two winners facing off in a number one contender's match. The UFC, however, isn't gonna push Silva's next fight back that far.

Its hard to tell how the UFC is gonna play this one...when Couture lost his title to Liddell, he had to go through Van Arsdale to get another shot. When Silvia beat Arlovski, they had the rematch immediately; of course, the LHW division tends to be a little more stacked than the HW.

Bottom line, if Franklin is going to be out for up to three months, they gotta give Swick the shot.

I agree, winner of leben vs. Macdonald faces Franklin - the winner of that gets a shot at silva after he beats the TUF 4 winner. Unless of course ufc brings Lindland back like the rumors say, then silva will probably fight lindland shortly after he beats the TUF 4 winner.

Leben is 6-1 in the ufc and his only loss in the ufc coming by knock out of silva who also knocked out franklin, Swick is 5-0 in the ufc and has knocked out or subed 4 of his oppents and went to decision with david, so those 2 deserve a shot way before Marquardt ever gets considerd for a shot. Plus Leben and Swick have wins imo better fighters then Marquardt has fought, so i dont really care if they both come from tuf, Swick is next in line, unless they bring someone else in. But if swick fights one more time and wins his next shot is pretty much a garenteed title shot. then if leben wins like 2 more he will get his. i dont see the ufc putting rich up against leben or swick because they want him to get his title back then those 2 because it is more money but first silva has to loose the belt. Imo Marquardt is about 2 wins away from being a contender, Until he beats a few more people he is at the bottom of the list, leben deserves the shot more then him so does swick

Franklin should go against the TUF champ this season. Whoever wins between Lutter and Cote will probably get beat by A. Silva. For their next fight they should face Franklin when he comes back, that way it's a pretty tough fight for Franklin-one he should win-and it also gives the TUF guy a chance to redeem himself and show what he's really made of.

he should definitely fight swick then leben then maybe a title shot
