I know he probably isnt the best P4P but his named should be mentioned. BJ Penn has very good stand up and great KO power. And for a guy that is so good at BJJ he seems like he loves to keep a fight standing. The guy wieghs about 170 and went toe to toe with a HWT that KOed Ace. So I think Penn deserves at least an honorable mention when it comes to best stand-ups.

Anderson Silva has sick accuracy and awesome KO power, good movement too.

Put all those together and you set yourself up for a long list of KO victims.

That and the low number of (T)KO's for Fedor. When Fedor swings it's like it's with everything he's got behind it. It's like he puts himself almost into a spin or something when he swings. I under stand his very good sambo sumbission ability, I just thought Fedor would have more (T)KO's.

Actually purely for stand up, I would have to say Nishijima as per was WBO cruiserwieght champion. However he does not have any real ground game. Any MMA fighter is going to see on his back he is like a fish out of water. IMO many pro MMA fighters think they have good hands, however under queensbury rules I dont think many would be able to go very deep into any division. Chuck Liddell has some of the best stand up in MMA, as well as Cro Cop however I dont see them lasting long against even mid range Pro Boxers.

There's a difference between boxing and MMA standup, so why bother comparing the two?


Seriously though, the best stand up in MMA by far belongs to Joe Rogan.
