Just add my own experiences. I am a brit who has spent a little under ten years in the states previously and my whole family has lived in the US at some point or another.

Visa's for work in the states are extremely complicated and sometimes make no sense at all and have no doubt he could of come across some trouble with it.

I mean my Dad lived in the states for 10 years was a helicopter pilot for U of M hospital flying on the organ transplant team and a volunteer paramedic for the local community. With that he had 120 signed affidavids(sp) claiming that he was a pillar of the community and that he has either personally or directly played a part in saving their's or a close family memebers life. Even with all that the immigration courts still decided not to let him extend his visa.

Dunno bout you but that clearly shows that the visa guidelines make no sense sometimes. I'm all for not having illegal immigrants stealing citizens jobs, but someone with skills and good will like that?? Messed up.
