| Bisping. Why did he pull out again?
I found it hard to believe that English even required Visas to come to the US. So after a little research, here is what I found about Visa procedure for UK citizens. This is just an excerpt but I think this covers it mostly.
----------------------------------------------------------
Citizens of the following countries: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom may travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program if they meet ALL of the following requirements:
• The traveler is a citizen of one of the countries named above, traveling on a valid, individual machine readable passport. Note: A passport indicating that the bearer is a British Subject, British Dependent Territories Citizen, British Overseas Citizen, British National (Overseas) Citizen, or British Protected Person does not qualify for travel without a visa. A passport which states holder has Right of Abode or indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom does not qualify for visa free travel;
• Traveling for business, pleasure or transit only;
• Staying in the United States for 90 days or less;
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So basically, there is no requirement for visas for people in UK. You just have to apply. He's been here before obviously, so there should not have been any problem getting visa again.
I dont understand. Is he just not feeling well? Do they want to get a different competitor to avoid the Kongo incident? Btw, did you guys also notice that sometimes when UFC does match ups for up and coming fighters, not only do they throw them a can but they often give them short notices? Marrero mentioned that he only had two weeks of training, right?
Anyways, I just think this is a way for UFC to protect their new asset. I dunno what the reasons are but I just smell fish.

Yes, you muppets, you can TRAVEL visa free but you cannot work without one.
I should know as a Brit who has previously worked in the 'States that it is a long and tricky process to get one. That was pre 9/11 too so it will be even more difficult now.
If you don't believe him then you obviously have no clue about his charactor and his desire to make his debut. He will be chomping at the bit having been injured too - if you were fighters you'd understand...
git.

Maybe I can clear this up a bit. My wife is a Brit and getting her visa/green card was a nightmare. It took 2 years for her to be able to work in the U.S. and that was with an immigration lawyer helping us the whole way. Once paperwork was filled out, they have up to like 90 days to tell you if you're accepted or rejected. Oh and they are such douches, that if you misspell anything, or fuck up even the most minute detail, they'll reject you and keep the fee.
More than likely this is what happened. Somewhere one tiny mistake was made and the visa didn't get granted... so they have to re-aply for him and go through the whole gut-wrenching process again.
The government sucks donkey balls
