I've played them all and I think PRIDE is the best one. Though there are many things missing like side mount for example. The clinch action needed huge improvement too.

Imagine how hard it is to make a decent MMA game. Not just boxing, but kicks, takedowns, submission, GnP, etc. So many unpredictable variables in MMA that you can't put into a video game. for example Shogun freak injury or Chuck Liddell eye pokes.

hate to say it but there will never be a good MMA game.
NEVER? NEVER? Did you really just say never? Like how Man will never fly or Computers would Never be small enough for there to be such a thing as a Personal Computer "PC". I could go on for a while but u get the point. With all the AMAZING advances in technologies over the last just look at say the 20 years. But you think putting having a good MMA game is just too much? That its just impossible? I bet you would have been one of the "Earth is Flat" guys back in the day. You could free ya mind man, with what i have seen in just my short time on this earth, I would be very cautious of saying something is impossible or will never happen.

Also whats wrong with the Fight Night games? They seem pretty good to me, all three got pretty good reviews and sold well. Also I think a MMA game would need more of the mechanics from a Wrestling game then boxing. And there have been plenty of good wrestling games. I think it is just a matter of time, with MMA exploding in popularity someone will spend to time and money necessary to build a top notch MMA Game.

I doubt that, the UFC and Pride games were not that bad at all. My friends and I would play for hours. If both people knew how to play right, then the matches were excellent. I remeber stuufing takedown, taking guys down, working to get mount and doing a little GNP.\ and lot of counters and some nice submissions. The Pride game was better because the matches lasted a little longer than the UFC games. In the UFC games you get KO'd too fast, in the pride you could take some punches before you would get Ko'd. I think as long as they use a similar fight system, add some more moves and counters and make sure all the fighters skills are accurate and MMA game will be good. It will happen soon.

the guy that owns the ifl has alot of pull in that industry. shamus also owns the comic book guide/magazine wizard, and all its affiliate magazines. he is plugged in, in with all the right people. ifl will be huge one day. i'd def by a game they put together. and i can assure you if everyone is in agreement that the pride video game is the best mma video game(which it is) than the ifl game will resemble it much more than it would any of the lame ufc games. another good one to check out is the k-1 game, if you like stand up fighting games its the shit. mirko is the man on there.

they have a basic engine to use as a format now. they have prides game, which incorporated each fighters individual style, and EA has done a few fighting games where you can work on certain parts of the body to weakin or make them useless. all it would take is a combination of the two, and the graphics and capabilties of the new consoles like 360 and ps3 and it seems like a no brainer to me.
