I've been watching some old Pride shows, and Quadros doesn't really add any sort of analysis other than telling people what fighter A should be doing. It just seems like Quadros is in there to get Quadros over. Bas really made Quadros look decent, because Bas has that kind of charisma.

Now, Quadros resorts to saying the most baseless things. "Fighter A has really secured a good armbar", "Nice triangle choke by Fighter B". Can we get Frank Mir to retire from fighting so he can commentate? Mir actually made UFC 50 entertaining, because he'd explain what's going on. Quadros just immediately assumes everyone knows.

I used to like the guy, but watching some old shows, he's just frustrating to listen to. As much crap as Rogan gets, atleast he's enthusiastic, and tries to explain what's going on. Quadros sounds like he's bored, or he's just too good to be calling an undercard fight.

He was alright. Better than Renallo.

Quadros was silly and went a little overboard with Bas sometimes to a point where they seem unprofessional. If he couldve toned it down a bit he wouldve been perfect. I thought he was pretty good.

I don't ever really like any of Pride's commentators.The events are great ,but the commentating is oaky at best.Only decent commentator is Frank Trigg as much as I hate to admit that.

i dont mind quadros with bas. bas is the one on the team that made them a great team, he had the charisma and was grounded enough to explain things, and be excited without sounding like a total idiot.
Mauro just freaks out too much. he sounded like someone had died in the ring when Fedor got slammed by Randleman (which was almost the case), and when Fedor swept and subbed Randleman, he had no emotional control left to describe what was going on.

but to be honest, Quadros is absolutely horrible alone. his commentary with Goldberg at the WFA? jesus christ, most off topic rambling bullshit i've ever heard. when he went up to Rampage and said "was fighting Lindland like fighting an octopus?" i just cringed.

Can someone explain Quadros' weird Akira Shoji love? That was about the most random fandom I have ever seen a commentator express. It's like Rogan's Koscheck love, but I can understand the Koscheck love. He'd praise Shoji, but bash Jeremy Horn. It's really just all so odd. Quadros also openly bashes the fighters he finds boring(Or terrible). It's unprofessional & pretentious. The latter being what Quadros is great at being.

You know something's wrong when Bill Goldberg is a better commentator than you. I agree, Quadros absolutely sucked the meat missiles in the WFA.
