if hughes somehow gets past GSP next week then once he retires i say GSP will be the dominate force in the WW division. it'll just suck cause he couldnt beat hughes. but i dont see that being a problem

There is no way Hughes is beating GSP so if Hughes only has one fight left after this one with GSP then where does it leave him when he loses the title...what would be the sense in having one more fight besides it being for a big payday..the only thing that should happen is Penn and Hughes rubber match.

A tourny wont happen because Dana would be afraid people would say hes trying to be like Pride. Sad but thats the only reason I cn think hes avioded tourneys for so long.
As for Hughes Vs GSP, who knows but its gona be one hell of a fight!

All this talk about tourneys is all a fantasy because to fight mma in the u.s it needs to be sanctioned by the states athletics commission and they have strict rules, one being a fighter cannot compete more than once every so often(i dunno how long it is though). i would love to see the ufc go over to another country like japan or brazil and do it thought. the ufc and pride should come together in japan and have a crazy OW tourny with 8 of the best fighters from each side with one emerging best in the world,how sweet would that be
