I completely agree with your general point that part of the purpose of the belt is to defend it, and that is a competely different mindset than trying to attain it. But I dont think anyone will try and argue that Fedor is a paper champion. Especially on this forum. Motherfuckers get hostile when you question Fedor.

I am not questioning Fedor by any means that is just insane. I am questioning the way Pride books him. Last 2 fights of his have been against guys who are clearly not worthy of fighting against him.

yeah they should make fedor defend his title every time he fights, its not like most of them can beat him, but still it should be a title fight

Correct and from what I understand, PRIDE does not give title shots to the #1 contender, they give the title shot to a deserving fighter and that fighter can have a recent loss (That is what they claim at least and hopefully they will follow that as of now, I like this much better so by fluke, ther can't be some can that gets a title shot)

Lil Nog vs Wand would be a great fight. Lil Nog vs SHogun is one of my favorite fights, Lil Nog is an exciting fighter to watch and so is Wand and Lil Nog outstruck Shogun so he is capable of doign the same to Wand.

I don't get this non title bs! the title should be on the line everytime he fights other than tournaments. so if his opponent wins they don't deserve title? doesn't make any sense at all. look at boxing. every fight is a title fight.
