I agree that he won't lose the fight but he is the champ and it isn't a Grand Prix so it should be a title fight. I just don't like the idea of nontitle fights, like the Gomi/Aurelio situation we had. It leads to people thinking that the champion is a paper champion. Fedor is going to retain so why not call it a title fight? It definitely would help promotional wise.

Title belts aren't supposed to be just a shiny accessory, you're actually supposed to defend them and not just fight in a bunch of nontitle fights like every one else. Plus it guarantees the champ has to fight the #1 contender every time out instead of fighting a bunch of easy fights like against Zulu and Coleman.
