| Hughes vs. Serra
On the ground, if Serra tapped out Hughes, it would have to be with a rear naked. Hughes would power out of anything else.

| Serra vs Hughes
I agree with BigBanda everyone has a "chance". But skill wise I don't think Serra can win. I think that he is a very skilled fighter but Matt Hughes is just on another level. |

Many things indicate failure for Serra in this match:
1) Serra is a 155'r walking around at 170, Hughes is 185-190 probably.
2) Hughes is more physical and strong.
3) Hughes will take him down
4) Hughes doesn't get submitted that easily.
5) Serra has no standing game, I think hughes is better standing than Serra is LOL.
6) Hughes is very confident in MMA, Serra so-so.
7) Hughes has solid gameplans, he adapts.

I don't think Serra could hang with Hughes. Serra's skills just aren't at that level. I honestly don't even see his JJ skills as overly impressive. Awesome guy, like him a lot, but he's overrated. I don't particularly care for his style, or think it'd be enough to finish Hughes.
After a couple rounds of GnP'ing Serra, Hughes wins by submission. That's right... Hughes submits Serra. |
