This has nothing to do with the topic but I am just curious. You seem to know alot about MMA and I am just wondering. You must be old since you know enough to post here. | I think the point is that the BJ vs Hughes thing with the excuses is old shit. We've had countless threads about it. Yes BJ fractured his ribs but hey it's MMA not a tea party lol, that shit happens. BJ isn't the one carying this on making excuses, it's the fans in the forums doing it.

if serra mentor royce gracie couldnt submit hughes what gives matt serra much more of a chance but i still believe everyone has the chance to win when you close the cage

LOL. I love how you explained to me what he was trying to say. People keep saying dumb stuff, I am going to respond to it. nothing wrong with that right? People say BJ sux, so I give them reasons why I believe BJ is a good fighter. What's wrong with that? So what topics aren't old here?

Renzo Gracie was Serra's mentor, but I still see your point.
Serra really doesn't have a chance. I'm trying to figure out how he could possibly win, but there's nothing. Hughes is hard to take down, GSP is hard to take down. Both are way too strong for him. Serra's not that good of a striker.
It'll be a demolition.

MMA math doesn't always work but serra is only 31 (younger than hughes) and if you look who he has fought - win or lose- hes gone the distance with a who's who of 170lb's best.
more likely than not serra will lose to hughes/gsp... but anything cal happen
Dana got great marketing and a fun character in serra, i'm sure he's happy... TUF 4 wasn't all it could have been. originally they were going to have Trigg and Nick Diaz in the house too. things would be different if they had the stacked roster they were goin after. but it is what it is.
Like serra says "living the dream, baby!"

fun person in serra, sorry but imo serra isnt fun, hes boring, no one is going to pay to watch him fight in a ppv, specailly agasint like gsp or hughes when you no there going to win, well people will buy it but serra isnt going to have that big of a sell as per the guys from the past seasons, plus serra is a jackass and hope gsp or hughes knees him right in the face and ko's him
