So you dont mind if there's a fighter who masters a skill to cut someone and that is his only skill? I guess you would say to yourself "Damn he's good!! The best MMA fighter ever!!! He cut 10 people in a row!!! Those are some sharp elbows he got there!!!" ?

I'd say "Damn that sux. The guy can't fight worth of shit but he just has sharp elbows and the fight only lasts avg of 1 min. He aint no MMA fighter".

I guess that's where the difference lies between me and some others here. You think fighters feel good when they win by cut (accidently)? If not, why do you think they dont?

However, I can't give respect to a guy like Florian. In fact, I thought Florian was cutting people up while pounding them or trying to use the elbow to creat damage. When my friends and I saw how he used the elbow against Sherk, we all jump out of our chairs cursing the guy because that's not why we watch MMA fights.

So dont watch. Fighters fight for money, not for your amusement.

What I am crticizing is the intent and that I can't give repect to the guy who is trying to get a win by cutting someone instead of putting up a fight. If cut occurs while pounding, I have no probem with that as it is part of fighting. But I say it again, I think trying to win by cutting someone is a crappy way to get a victory for all three parties involved. For the fans, the opponent, and the winner when he looks at himself in the mirror.

If he got cut, then he wouldnt be the better fighter that night. You do realize that these fights arent scripted right?

the point that is trying to be made is that going for a win via a cut is taking the easy way out and pretty much a total pussy way of fighting.

Using elbows like Tito=good elbows
Using elbows like Florian=bitch elbows
