I would have thought that they would have put him on the main card since he's a local. I think he deserves a chance to prove that he can hang on the big show in front of the hometown fans.
I'm not fond of his attitude either, but he's got heart. I think that always makes for an exciting fight.

i like the attitue, it makes him more interesting, you always have the badguy or the villan, its hard to have a good attitude when you fight for a living

I hope some of the fights end quick so we get to see it.

I hope some of the fights end quick so we get to see it. | you don't care about Stevenson/Mishima? That's gonna be a good match. Mishima is making his UFC debut. He's fought in PRIDE, DEEP, and Shooto. He's a solid fighter who holds wins over Marcus Aurelio(last man to beat Gomi) and Masakuzi Imanari. Stevenson is emerging in the LW division, coming off a win over Yves Edwards. I'm really looking forward to this fight.
I do agree that Diaz/Tibau should be on the main card though. I would much rather see this match than Sakara/McFedries. I'm sure a couple of the matches will end early though, so we'll probably see a few prelims.

I guess I just have bad taste. Nick Diaz is my favorite fighter. He always comes to fight. He takes what ever fight they offer him, even on short notice. His last fight he was notified on short noticed and had just competed in a triathlon, then a swim meet in back to back weeks.
Sure he talks smack during the fight which I find entertaining. When he fought Lawler, and inadvertently kicked him in the groin, Lawler complained and Nick told him he didn’t have any nuts, which pissed Lawler off and the fight continued without recovery stoppage (I guess the kick wasn’t that bad). Sure he could improve some of his skills (take-down defense for one), but he’s young and he keeps improving with each fight.
DIAZ SHOULD BE ON THE MAIN CARD.

Nick Diaz is only 23 years old, anyone callin him a bum for having a slump at the age of 23 is crazy.
Hes gone to a SPLIT decision with Karo, SPLIT decision with Hironaka at the age of 19, hes beaten Robbie Lawler standing which isnt easy to do..
hes got pretty good jui-jitsu, and boxing skills. Hes only 23 which is the main thing.. the guy should be on the main card.
