There is one thing I want to say to the ufc dont give matt a remacth right away I dont give a shit if he's defended his title 10 times work ur way up.
Have matt fight bj even if it isnt for a title if that were the main event I would buy the winner fights diego winner fights Gsp and gets knocked out.
also don't forget about karo, kos and finch

I think Hughes should fight the winner of Sanchez/Riggs next. That way the UFC gets to market it as a potential passing of the guard if Sanchez gets through (which they would definitely want to do). Then I would match up B.J. Penn with Karo Parisyan again, since Karo doesn't deserve to be knocked back down a step for losing a close fight like he did. As for GSP... it looks like he gets to fight the winner of a reality TV show. If B.J. wins, he gets the next shot at GSP. If Diego wins and B.J. loses, Diego gets the next shot. All this is irrelevent, of course, since the UFC loves giving big name guys immediate rematches.

We'll see Serra vs. GSP and then Hughes vs. GSP 3, hopefully in Montreal.

yeah, im sure the ufc will hold the rematch between gsp and hughes in canada, i dont think they would waste serra vs gsp, and what has bj penn did to deserve a shot at hughes right now he lost 2 of his last fights he has got to much shit handed to him its time for him to work back up from the bottom, and hughes im almost sure will get a rematch without having to fight again, because he is a cash cow for dana and this will give matt about 5 months or so to train his ass off to put on a better show, and what has kos done to even be mentioned in the title shot, bj should fight kos knock himout, fight the winner of karo and whoever he fights and then fight deigo seeing if by the time he comes back he keeps winning, because ufc isnt going to wait till april or when ever bj is soppose to come back so they can have hughes vs penn, no that will be about the time gsp vs hughes 3 will be on the cards

of course we will see the rematch there is too much money to be made. The serra fight is just to fufill the contract made to the contestants.sure there are alot of more interesting senerios if you look at it from a competative standpoint but this like all pro sports is a buisiness first and the cards are
set for making money .

yup if they put hughes against penn and if he looses its not going to make more money when he fights gsp, so if they set the fight up without having matt face anyone else its going to make alot more money, the 3rd fight to dana isnt out the fighting but its about making a shit load of money, first fight ended in sub in first round, second a nasty kick to the head finish with a flurry of punches and elbows, ended in second round, thats great promotion for the 3rd, who wants it more does the young new face of the ww want the belt more then a veteran who has beat everyone, does he have what it takes to be champion again, or will the new ww champ put be to much for hughes, ufc 72 will only tell, haha im not sure on the ufc 72 just thought id throw it in there

My thoughts:
Since GSP informed Matt that he could have a rematch......
GSP fights Serra, GSP wins. There's a reason that Serra was on "The Comeback"......either Hughes or GSP would show the world why.
Sanchez should win his match with Riggs moving him into a position to fight Matt Hughes. Matt wins.
Matt then fights GSP......hopefully (for me) he'll be a little better prepared and a lot less cocky.
Later.
